Dreaming is easy, it's the waking up that's hard.

Hey friend, This past week my twitter feed and inbox was flooded with talk of $GME and the wallstreetbets subreddit saga. I just found the whole thing entertaining and troubling at the same time, but mostly entertaining.
🔥 Highlights- I published the initial rough version of a ~4000 word blog post about hackathons. There are already various articles on how to win, how to organize, and how to survive a hackathon. So I just provided my hot takes and tips for succeeding. It was fun looking back at the past 5 years and reflecting on how I managed to place in 10 out of 20 hackathons.
- Monthly meeting with Rushil and Anuraag, my first lunchclub.ai friends I started doing monthly recurring meetings with. It was good to catch up and continue our tradition. In a future edition I'll share what they're working on once they're ready to share!
- Product Hunt's 2020 Golden Kitty Awards was held live this year. It was definitely amazing to see the diversity of makers around the world, every content except Antarctica was represented probably.
💔 Lowlights- One of the email forms for my newsletter were returning "Invalid input" errors. I was horrified to find out, but quickly addressed it. I ended up removing the re-captcha script as well so that people don't have to fill out google's annoying picture grid test.
🎯 Goals- For the month of February I'm going to try something new and draw every day. Specifically, I want to illustrate some devotional passages that resonate with me.
- Cold direct message and email potential speed runners for niche workflows. I've been putting this off because it's difficult for me. The more I think about the perfect way to make an ask, the further I get from sending my message.
- Write another blog post on my push-up habit and what I've learned from doing them. This first month of January I've done just shy of 3000, which is not to brag because I'm surprised myself.

You may be wondering, what's up with this newsletter's title? Other than my first edition's title, I have a hard time coming up with a representative title. Five editions in, and it doesn't get any easier. Coming up with ideas is easy, you just imagine it and there you have it. An exciting bundle of potentiality. Carrying through so they become a reality is where most people get hung up. I'm sure you can relate. It's both humbling and frustrating. But hey, at least I have a metaphoric way of labeling this struggle. 😂 How do you ensure you make your dreams a reality?
