Have 1 good day, then repeat it.

Hey friend, It's starting to get warmer and I can just feel summer around the corner. What summer activities are you looking forward to? The past COVID year went by so extremely fast because so much time was spent indoors.
🔥 Highlights- I haven't put all the finishing touches on it yet but poppalock.xyz is launched! Please reply to this email with any feedback as you all are the first to see it before I publicly launch it on other sites. It's a very simple game of timing I created after an inspired visit to Dave & Busters (go figure).
- I attended a BrainPint (newsletter) Community Gathering via icebreaker.video It was fun meeting about 15 other people from India, the UK, and US to chat about what we're learning and get to know each other.
- I started using Lunchclub.ai again and met with Maurice. We spoke about his infrared sauna and meditation. This re-inspired me to download the Waking Up and Wim Hof mobile apps to give it a more thorough go at this potentially life changing new habit.
💔 Lowlights- This has got to the hardest part of writing this newsletter. Which makes me feel like its also the most important in terms of personal growth. It's partly hard because I don't take note of when bad things happen.
- I've slacked on drawing new art for my instagram account ever since I automated a couple in advance. I should be continuing to draw every day, not just post. Because eventually the backlog will run dry.
🎯 Goals- Continue illustrating other spiritual source texts. I've just bought Anthony de Mello's entire catalogue of books, and man are they juicy. Some texts just pop off the page and beg to be visualized, and it's no wonder that they are the new and novel ones. So I've made it a point to revisit 'finished' books, because it isn't the book that illuminates us but rather our study of it.
- Rescuetime tells me my productive time on devices went up 50% this week. My goal is to keep that level the same or better for this coming week. This rides primarily on my ability to return to side project work after dinner, instead of youtube and chess.
🔗 Link James Clear & Ryan Holiday on Getting 1% Better Daily With Stoicism. "Yes" is a commitment/debt while saying "No" opens up choice and credit to do something you want in the future. James mentioned his compressed pregame routine, and the concept of home court vs. away court habits.
🎵 Song"Here it Comes" Benny Sings 🎙️ PodcastJordan Peterson on the Tim Ferris show. I also started reading his new book "Beyond Order" which is a sequel to "12 Rules for Life". 📖 BookA Man of Arms by Steven PressfieldHaving read his acclaimed non-fiction "Art of War" (fight the Resistance) I thought I'd give his new fiction novel a go. The author does an incredible job of depicting the Roman empire in the time of Jesus. It's almost a piece of fan fiction, following a side plot line of the deliverance of the Apostle Paul's letters to the early Christians of Corinth.
I've gone back to this idea of just focusing on making today the best day I can make it. Then the weeks, months, and years will take care of themselves. This can mean, starting with quick easy wins. Staying focused during your work, and present in your play time. Here's to having a good day and then 6 more, till next time.
