The United States government has designated Friday, May 10, as Military Spouse Appreciation Day, in recognition of the contributions and sacrifices military spouses make in service to the nation.

It has always been clear to me that when someone decides to serve their country through military service, in reality their entire family is serving.

I love Military Spouse Appreciation Day because it gives all of us a pause to express our gratitude to the spouses of our active-duty members and veterans. We need to do more than express gratitude.

I ask that you hire me to be the next Indiana State Rep (District 28) to do more than express gratitude. That is, I want to advance policies that truly support our Indiana National Guard members and their families. They deserve:

to have their paychecks protected
to have their civilian jobs protected, and
receive the very best health care for their families.

That's real appreciation!

This election was the beginning of me getting to know voters and voters getting to know me. Let's continue learning about each other!

I have quickly learned that a campaign is not about one person, but about a team of people who work together to make a difference.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who have been out for weeks talking to folks in person, by phone, and knocking on many, many doors.
