for grassroots action to move our country forward during these exciting times.

Please join us in taking these simple actions on the local, state and national levels.

Say “No” to cabinet nominations

Our good senators want to do the right thing for Virginians, but they are under tremendous pressure to cave to the MAGA agenda. Let’s call Senators Kaine (202-224-4024 or 804-771-2221) and Warner (202-224-2023 or 804-775-2314) to tell them we have their backs and support their vote against unqualified cabinet nominations, particularly Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Marco Rubio, Russell Vought, and Kash Patel. Tell Senator Kaine we are proud of his questioning of alarmingly unfit Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth in the confirmation hearing.

Petition Iowa Senator Jodi Ernst (ernst.senate.gov), an Army veteran and rape survivor, to vote against the Secretary of Defense nominee, Pete Hegseth.

Advocate for constitutional amendments

There are three Democratic proposals to amend the Virginia Constitution. One amendment (SJR 247) would enshrine abortion access and reproductive healthcare into the Virginia Constitution. Another amendment (SJR 248) would automatically restore voting rights to felons at the completion of their sentence. A third bill (SJR 249) seeks a Constitutional amendment to remove the prohibition against same sex unions that currently exists in the Virginia Constitution and offers protections for these unions.

A fourth amendment proposed by Republicans would put right-to-work protections in the Constitution. Opponents of this amendment point out that Virginia law already establishes it as a right-to-work state.
