Hi friend,
Welcome back to our regularly scheduled Nerdletter. Thanks for your participation in last week's email list spring cleaning and for sticking around.
Last week, I spoke with an acquaintance who is a coach. His work is dedicated to helping people address and heal their trauma. He told me about his recent work, a challenge that he created and launched last year. The challenge asks each person to commit to the following five daily commitments for 60 days: morning meditation, exercise, goddess time, healthy eating, and eight hours of sleep.
I realize that these commitments are simple in theory, but they are also a luxurious privilege for some. This challenge is a reminder of how our daily habits compound over time; how a daily commitment to the little things can have an outsized role in our ability to deal with life's bigger things, like our trauma - financial and otherwise.
Self-care is an investment that pays dividends. It's a way to show yourself that you value yourself. It's a way to show yourself that you are worthy. I hope that you'll invest in your expansion by caring for yourself every day.
Your favorite finance friend,
Paco

In a sense, an old idea of an internet-based on micropayments has finally arrived, but transformed into an internet of micro-ownership. 5. 🎩 I’m Rich Now. It’s Weird. (New York Mag) “I constantly ask myself, Do I deserve this money? Why would I deserve this? It’s not necessarily an accomplishment to become rich from your company doing an IPO. It’s luck — I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It’s not like I’m any smarter than the tens of thousands of people who have my job at other companies.” 6. 🤓 A Bookkeeping Thing: How to Catch Up On Your Bookkeeping (HYG Original) How good would you feel if you caught up? Not necessarily saying it would feel great while you caught up, but you could get there. Here's how. 🤓7. 🏕 Return the National Parks to the Tribes (The Atlantic) “The American West began with war but concluded with parks.” When you really stop and think about the concept of land ownership or property rights, it’s super weird - kind of like money. 8. 😵 Sex Tapes, Hush Money, and Hollywood’s Economy of Secrets (WIRED) Meet Kevin Blatt, the celebrity fixer who’s a master at shepherding compromising material off the internet—or into the hands of the highest bidder.9. ↪️ Alicia Keys on Shifting from Scarcity to Abundance (You Tube) A couple weeks ago we accidentally sent out a broken link and wanted to resend it.
