NEW SPACE FOR ARTISTS LOCALS AND MAKERS |
The Makers’ Space is a new vibrant craft community showcasing the best of local artists and makers. Passionate about championing creativity, craft and community, this great space is based at Longbarn Village near Alcester in a beautiful listed Tudor building oozing with character, the light and airy spaces lend themselves perfectly to all forms of creativity. From photography and videography, to art and craft studios, sewing classes, retreats, events, retail, and even a dog-friendly cafe, there is so much on offer that will appeal to all. In a world full of consumption, there is something about the act of creativity; making something with purpose and passion, that allows us all to focus, to be mindful, and to connect to a deeper part of ourselves. The Makers’ Space allows people to explore their innate creativity, have an opportunity to make, play, learn and connect.

The onsite cafe started life as a cosy, welcoming coffee shop. Open 7 days a week 10am – 4pm, we now offer a seasonal savoury menu. We have locally-roasted Monsoon Estates coffee, locally-made ice cream made from a herd of organic cows in nearby Broadway, and all our cakes are baked by three wonderful local bakeries. We’ve got outdoor tables, and we love dogs! There’s plenty of dog walking to be had from The Makers’ Space, and we’ve lots of free parking.

ROAD TRIP IN THE COTSWOLDS ∙ EXPLORING THE SOUTH |
“The first stop on our second road trip in the Cotswolds on our Summer of 2021 Staycation, was beautiful Painswick in the South. This lovely Cotswold town is a quiet one, and while there are a couple of really nice pubs, cafes, and a hotel here that are super to visit for a meal or a refreshment, it isn’t a “touristy” place, it is mostly a town to walk through, enjoy, and take in the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding." ∙
