Yesterday, I met with two groups of our dedicated volunteers to discuss the activities planned over the next five months leading up to the General Election in November.

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, especially when shared with family, friends, or neighbors. From canvassing and hosting house parties to helping with mailouts, there are numerous ways to support my campaign, while fostering community togetherness.

For instance, an older family member might enjoy preparing postcards for mailouts, an important task in feeling connected to the community. Likewise, volunteering can be an excellent opportunity for teenagers to experience politics firsthand, beyond the classroom or textbooks. And if you and a friend are looking for a fun way to spend time together, consider joining us in our campaign activities.

Despite this history, our focus must be on working together to ensure Indiana supports, includes, and respects all identities.  We pay taxes and deserve the same legal rights as everyone else.

We deserve great jobs, quality healthcare, and excellent education for ourselves and our families. We need a smart government that protects us from discrimination in employment, healthcare, housing, and other areas crucial for living our best lives.

This Pride Month, I encourage everyone to live and celebrate your best life!

As your next Indiana State Representative for District 28, I am committed to advocating for the rights of all, including LGBTQ+ people. I urge everyone celebrating Pride to hold all elected officials to this standard.

Now is the time to vote, volunteer, and donate what you can, so we can all be proud of Indiana!
