Proof cancels conference

The creators behind Moonbirds a popular web3 company have come under hot water as they cancel a conference that was promised. This comes as NFTs haven’t been getting the exposure they used to and is causing issues in the community. Why did they cancel the event? They had less interest than they anticipated. They provided a “town hall” that didn’t help clear up holders' confidence.

Artificial Intelligence

Roger C. Schank Dies at 76

He was considered a scientist who made influential contributions to the field of AI, he focused on how people learn. His research combined linguistics, cognitive science, and computing. In the late 60s and early 70s, he came up with the theory of conceptual dependency theory. This theory along with others could be the answers we need in today’s world of ChatGPTs. As the current AI models have no understanding of common sense or real-world balancing which is what Roger worked on for his entire career. His ideas and thought process of what would happen when computers were “in control” were ahead of his time.

You may get fired by AI

The most important factor in any HR department is performance and since the recession HR departments have been heavily data driven. Google recently laid off over 12,000 employees who aren’t buying it wasn’t done with AI. If you take a step back you can see why AI makes the most sense to determine who stays and goes in a company. Tech firms are already using big datasets to match departments with the best talent adding in an AI model is a neccassary next step.
