Fall Soccer
AYSO Region 13’s Fall Program is almost upon us! A big thank you to families who have already signed up their children for soccer.
Registration officially closed on July 9th. However, folks can continue to register but players will be placed on a waiting list until there is an opening. Once an opening occurs, you will be notified by our system and payment will be processed. Good news: If you decide to coach or referee, your child will go to the head of the line.

Referees
Our AYSO soccer program cannot exist without all of our wonderful volunteers working together. Referees play a critical role in ensuring safe, fair, and fun soccer for all our kids. Although it may seem overwhelming, there is no better way to experience and learn soccer with our kids than being on the field with them as a referee.
AYSO’s Referee Training Program will teach you everything you need to know about youth soccer and will provide you with equipment and a uniform. Our entire referee team will be there to support you throughout the season. We provide mentors to any new or returning referee who is interested in learning from one of our experienced refs!

Coaches
AYSO coaches have a profound impact on players’ athletic development and their lives. Coaches also act as teachers, educators, and advocates for their players. AYSO Region 13 will provide extensive coach training to new and returning coaches as well as provide equipment to head coaches. Similar to our referees, our league of volunteers will be here to support coaches throughout the entire season.

I hope everyone is looking forward to our Fall Soccer Program – we have an exciting program in store for our players this year. To date, we have had over 2,000 players registered which is the biggest number we’ve had since pre-pandemic. With this increased registration, we are leaning more heavily on volunteers who have already signed up to coach, referee, or have recently joined our Board of Directors. But we still need more. If you’re thinking of volunteering, I encourage you to not wait any further and join our team. It’s one of the most rewarding experiences you will have as a parent. Thanks to those who have already signed up!
See you on the field,
Taj Chiu
