In the past two weeks, the United States has witnessed a historic and transformative moment. President Biden, demonstrating unparalleled selflessness, chose to step aside from his pursuit of a second term to bolster the Democratic ticket, prioritizing the strength and unity of our nation.

The response from voters was immediate and overwhelmingly positive.

Vice President Kamala Harris, stepping into her new role with grace and determination, has launched a campaign that can only be described as a powerful force for change.

Her swift selection of Tim Walz as her running mate has further energized the electorate, igniting a wave of enthusiasm across the country.

This dynamic duo represents the fresh, forward-thinking leadership that Americans have been yearning for, and the excitement is palpable—from donations pouring in, to volunteers signing up in record numbers, to social media buzzing with joy and anticipation.

The contrast between the two presidential tickets is stark. Harris and Walz embody a vision of inclusivity and progress, speaking to the hopes and dreams of all Americans.

Tim Walz's experience as a National Guardsman, Congressman, and Governor of Minnesota demonstrates his deep commitment to serving everyday Americans and improving their lives. Together, they represent the Democratic Party's core values of unity, compassion, and a focus on the collective good.

On the other hand, the GOP is left with a ticket that fails to inspire.

Donald Trump continues to center his campaign on divisiveness and self-interest, while his Vice Presidential pick mirrors his negativity. The Republican rhetoric of hate and misinformation stands in sharp contrast to the Democratic message of hope and action. JD Vance’s baseless attacks on Tim Walz’s military service only serve to highlight the GOP’s descent into a party of “ME” rather than “WE.”

Just as the Harris-Walz ticket represents the best of what America can achieve together, our local campaign here in Indiana is about bringing positive change to our community. As your candidate for the Indiana House of Representatives in District 28, I am committed to list-ening to your concerns and working tirelessly to improve the lives of all Hoosiers.

With over 40 years of experience in education, I understand the critical importance of a strong educational foundation for our children. Together with future Governor Jennifer McCo-rmick and Lieutenant Governor Terry Goodin, both educators them-
