5 New Counties Vote to Support Advance Colorado’s Lawsuit on SB23-303/Prop HH

Weld, Park, Montrose, Garfield, Custer join lawsuit
DENVER– Following the recent announcement of 12 counties joining Advance Colorado’s  lawsuit against the State of Colorado regarding SB23-303 and Prop HH due to single-subject and “clear-title” violations, Advance Colorado is today announcing that five new counties have voted to support the lawsuit.
 
“Local governments across Colorado are joining the fight to protect our State Constitution and TABOR from the unconstitutional overreach of politicians at the state capitol,” said Michael Fields, President of Advance Colorado Institute. “Prop HH violates Colorado’s single subject rule and the ballot language is intentionally misleading . Advance Colorado Institute’s lawsuit continues to gain support from local leaders across Colorado and we are committed to fighting this legal battle to the end on behalf of the people of Colorado.”
 
The five new counties that voted to support Advance Colorado’s lawsuit on SB23-303/Prop HH:
  • Custer County
  • Garfield County
  • Montrose County
  • Park County
  • Weld County
They join the previous 12 counties from across the state that joined the lawsuit:
  • Cheyenne County
  • Douglas County
  • El Paso County
  • Fremont County
  • Logan County
  • Mesa County
  • Phillips County
  • Prowers County
  • Rio Blanco
  • Elbert County
  • Washington County
  • Kit Carson County
