Happy Fourth of July!
My husband's family has a long tradition of gathering at the family lake house in Maine for the fourth of July holiday. While not everyone is able to travel this year, my family and I are enjoying a week of kayaking, swimming, and relaxing.
And, of course, I will be writing. While working on the latest volume of Hartfield Chronicles, I found a major worldbuilding issue that needs to be addressed back in Volume One.
While I don't have an exact date yet, I am hoping to have everything finalized by mid-August. I'm hoping to have a Twitter cover reveal contest and a virtual book launch party. Both would provide opportunities for you to win free books. What do you think? Would you participate in either a cover reveal contest or a virtual book launch?

With his movie finally finished filming, Pat can't wait to return to Hartfield to spend some time with his brother. But, Walter would rather pretend they are complete strangers. At least Walter's friend doesn't seem to mind him hanging around.
Melinda has just about figured out how to balance her schoolwork with her new dance class and time with her friends. She's even managed to spend some time with her boyfriend, Eliot. Life should be perfect, right?

Except for the fact that Eliot doesn't like the fact that Melinda's best friend is a boy. Or that Melinda happens to be friends with a famous actor.
And just when Melinda thinks her life can't get any more complicated, an unexpected kiss forces her to reexamine the way she thinks about one of her friends.

Prophecy The first book in a complete paranormal YA trilogy
When eighteen-year-old honor student Lucy Owens discovers her family secret, she must leave her world behind or suffer a fate worse than death.
Dubbed "that weird Owens girl" since grade school, Lucy struggled to find her place in the small, New England town she grew up in. She lived a quiet, sheltered life with her guardians, surrounded by the memories of her ancestors. Lucy bears a striking resemblance to some of these Owens women, down to the crescent moon birthmark on the back of their necks.
Among her only visitors are two young men, Embry and Gabriel, who claim to be friends of the family. When prom night takes a sour turn, Lucy is forced to take shelter with them from a mysterious man hell-bent on acquiring her.
She also discovers that Embry and Gabriel are Gifteds, a subset of humans with supernatural abilities who don't die until their job is done. In this case, they claim their job is to protect Lucy’s line. But as she gets to know them and her family’s history better, she has to wonder if their ultimate goal is to keep her safe, or to stop the man who’s after her?
