Clear Straws OK'd for TUV HOME

NantBioPlastics, LLC recently received certification on its clear home compostable straws as OK compost HOME Certified by TUV Austria.

NBP's Wave Ware Home Compostable Straws are made from a wood pulp-based material called cellulose acetate. Microorganisms recognize the material as a food source and break it down completely – no harmful microplastics remain in the soil, and it returns to nature as compost. Cellulose acetate products perform just as well as traditional plastic products, minus the harmful end-of-life effects.
