Lawn Mullet: business in the front, pollinator party in the back

Who is the Oklahoma Monarch Society?

We're glad you asked! The Oklahoma Monarch Society is a new 501(c)3 non-profit organization designed to support statewide efforts to create and protect habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators in Oklahoma.

Championed by current, former, and new members of our team, this organization is our program's new and permanent home. Over the past six years, Okies for Monarchs was graciously hosted by our former fiscal agents The Nature Conservancy and the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma. During that time, our programming grew substantially.

By forming a new, independent non-profit to champion and support our volunteers and activities, we have the needed infrastructure to further fund and grow our mission.

We are super excited to invite you to our launch party and introduce you to our board and committee members, staff and volunteers!

Take a Sneak Peek

But Wait – There's More.

The fun has only just begun. In addition to an on-site native plant sale by Native Plants and Prairie Wind Nursery, pollinator people of all ages are invited to get up close with critters at OSU’s Insect Adventure and engage in activities with our partners: Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, OK Department of Transportation, OK County Conservation District, OK Native Plant Society, OK Native Plant Network, and Science Museum OK. How's that for a fun-filled family adventure?

Anthem Brewing is going all in for this event with some sizzling hot “Save the Monarchs” swag! Glassware, koozies, hats, pins and stickers, oh my! And…they're donating the profits to our cause!

You'll also have the opportunity participate in a raffle (cash prizes incoming!) and purchase super rad monarch screen prints, created live and in person!

Our Goal: $10,000 for Monarchs!

If (and when) we crush this goal together, you’ll be treated to a performance from triple-platinum emcees Marky Monarch and Lil’ Wing, who have generously agreed to emerge from their retirement chrysalis for one last show-stopping number.

We promise, you don’t want to miss a moment.

See You June 9 at Anthem!
